At the last meeting of CCEDNet’s Board of Directors, Laurie Cook was selected as the new President of the Board.  She takes over from Ryan Gibson, who had been President since 2015. 

On June 14, CCEDNet members gathered online to participate in the 2018 annual general meeting (AGM).

It’s our pleasure to release our newest report, Connected and Ready: The Impact of the Manitoba Social Enterprise Strategy. This report is an impact analysis of the Manitoba Social Enterprise Strategy (MSES), a 3-year partnership between the Government of Manitoba and the Canadian CED Network - Manitoba which sought to develop and nurture an ecosystem that facilitates the strengthening and growth of social enterprises creating job and training opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment. 

Every year, CCEDNet members are invited to submit nominations for CCEDNet's Board of Directors. This year, there were four vacancies to be filled.

Four eligible nominations were received by the deadline, leading our Elections Officer to declare the following candidates elected by acclamation:

The Canadian CED Network is seeking proposals from qualified communications specialists for a storytelling audit of external communications, followed by a year-end evaluation. Ideal candidates will have particular experience working within the non-profit sector and with organizations that are national in scope. Familiarity with organizations who are member-based, who undertake collaborative projects, and who are focussed on socioeconomic change is also an asset.
