Since its introduction in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been a transformative global agenda incorporating the vision of sustainable, just, and equitable development in economic, social, and environmental aspects. Together 2018: Collaboration, Innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals is Canada’s second annual symposium on the SDGs. The main event will be held in Edmonton, Alberta. The aims of this event are: 

  • To learn about current work on the SDGs by all levels of government, civil society, academia, and the private sectors
  • To share good practices and lessons learned between organizations
  • To create new partnerships and forward-thinking solutions for the achievements of the SDGs
  • To measure progress on the SDGs and report that progress on a periodic basis
  • To advance together using the knowledge, skills, tools, and networks gained in your organizations

This 2-days event includes some breakout sessions, keynote sessions, mainstage sessions but also breaks and opportunities of networking. The two keynotes speakers are Paul Polman (CEO of Unilever) and Shiza Shahid (CEO of Now Ventures). The panels sessions will deals with differents points of the SDGs or their evolution in Canada and around the world.

Don't forget to register! There are special tickets for student, academic, civil society, private sector and government. Join community groups, NGOs, businesses, and other concerned citizens to hear what Canada is doing to advance the Sustainable Development Goals!
