ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will participate in a comprehensive program focused on improving financial and growth opportunities for women business owners living in Northern Ontario.
With Post Secondary Education in Business Administration or a related field, you have experience with gender-based analysis, evaluation, business development, group training and facilitation, and related areas. You are a team player, positive and self-motivated with the ability to speak and write in Ojibwe or Oji-Cree, and/or French. Experience working with First Nations and Francophone communities; knowledge of women’s issues, microfinance, and community economic development is a definite asset.
POSITION REQUIRES:
- That you hold a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance;
- Be comfortable as a facilitator/presenter;
- Have excellent communication and analytical skills;
- An ability to accommodate competing demands while meeting deadlines.
Essential to this position is: passion, vision, and a drive to “try” to make a positive impact on society.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Working Area: working from Thunder Bay, Ontario, you must be willing to travel extensively in Northwestern and Northeastern Ontario.
Hour of work: minimum 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
