Job Type: Salary

 

Type: 30 hours per week for 12 months

 

Goal of Position:

To aid our Non-Profit organization to expand the existing Social Enterprise and to develop new ideas for Social enterprises.

 

Responsibilities:

-          To supervise the existing catering business

-          Create a business plan to expand and improve the business

-          To create a marketing plan

-    Design and implement workshops to improve employment skills of low or no income people

-     Implement the business and marketing plans

-     Assess barriers to success and report to the board of directors with ideas for remediation

-     Work with the North House Enterprise committee to identify a new sustainable business opportunity.

-     Work with the above committee to design a business plan to meet the needs of the organization

-      Create and implement a plan to attract volunteers to support the organizations services

 

Qualifications:

-Post-Secondary degree or College Certificate in Business, Commerce, Human Geography, Community or Economic development or related areas.

- Commitment to working in a rural setting;

-Interest in innovative approaches to economic development for rural areas

- Excellent organizational skills

-Ability to work with a wide variety of people with diverse skills and backgrounds

-Experience in creating and facilitating workshops or the willingness to learn this skill set

-Excellent communication skills

-A positive, Non-judgmental attitude

-applicant must be under 30 years of age
