The Role
The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of On Co-op while promoting the development and sustainability of the co-operative model through activities that advance the collective interests of the co-operative sector.
You will manage all operations, including financial and human resources, and provide oversight for government relations, public relations, education, co-op development, events and stakeholder relations.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a relationship builder who can lead and develop a small, highly engaged staff team while providing strategic leadership to On Co-op and its members.
The following skills and experience will be key to your success:
- Demonstrated excellence with a proven track record of managing financial and human resources within a small enterprise.
- Post-secondary education in business, community economic development, social enterprise, non-profit leadership, or equivalent in combination with five years related work experience.
- Experience in understanding and influencing government policy.
- Knowledge of the legislative environment for co-operatives in Ontario an asset.
- Bilingualism (French / English) an asset.
