The Volunteer’s Role
We are looking for someone passionate about training, coaching and group facilitation!
As a volunteer, you’ll be working with the Movimiento Manuela Ramos (MMR) –a regional leader in promoting women’s rights– to develop, deliver and facilitate training programs to groups of young women and men about sexual and reproductive rights, women’s rights, gender equality, gender-based violence and more.
This volunteer placement will be located out of MMR’s office in Lima, Peru’s bustling and diverse capital, where you will work with a dedicated and talented team of lawyers, social workers, activists and more! It’s a great small-team environment, with plenty of opportunity to lead and learn. You will also travel to cities located in Peru’s breathtaking Andes and steamy Amazon jungle to deliver training.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Train MMR staff on group facilitation techniques and methods.
Essential Academic Qualifications:
- Degree in international development, social work, psychology, social sciences, cultural studies, women's studies, political science, or related field.
- Create, deliver and facilitate creative and effective training programs.
- Develop training materials and other resources.
- Support the organization of events and community outreach campaigns.
Essential Professional Background:
- Experience delivering training programs and/or workshops.
- Experience working on and/or knowledge of women’s issues.
Support Package
- Modest monthly living allowance (varies depending country)

- Cuso International assessment day (Candidates must cover the first $200 of the most cost-effective travel expenses and all accommodation costs).
- Travel and accommodation for the five-day pre-departure training course and for in-country orientation
- Bonus: Additional return flight home or cash in lieu after 12 months of service for volunteers who extend for another 6 months
