Ka Ni Kanichihk Inc. is a registered, nonprofit, community based Aboriginal led human services organization, serving Winnipeg’s urban Aboriginal community.

Ka Ni Kanichihk is recruiting for two (2) fulltime positions for its Youth Programs.

About the Position:

Youth Coach/Facilitator: The successful applicants will facilitate the delivery of both the Life Skills and Aboriginal Awareness curriculum for youth, provide review and revision of curriculum and will provide case management and crisis counseling for the youth, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be able to relate to Aboriginal youth, provide excellent role modeling, possess a working knowledge and appreciation for both traditional and western healing disciplines and have knowledge of community based resources.

The successful applicant will possess relevant post secondary education and a minimum of three years experience working with Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal youth or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must present a valid driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract and have access to a vehicle. Applicant must also provide a criminal record and child abuse registry check.

The successful applicant will need to be available to work flexible hours; this includes evenings and some weekends.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
