Winnipeg Public Library is offering used Library material free of charge to all non-profit organizations. This includes adult and juvenile books as well as audio-visual, multilingual, and large print items. These materials have already been offered in Library book sales and range in condition from fair to excellent. They will be available to non-profit organizations to take for their own purposes.
Procedures:
Non-profit organizations are required to provide their own boxes, bags, and transportation to remove library material.
Representatives of non-profit organizations are required to provide identification from their organization. At each location they visit, they must also complete a sign-in sheet and indicate the number of items being taken.
Branch Libraries:
Please contact any Winnipeg Public Library Branch (except the Millennium Library) and arrange an appropriate time with a Branch Supervisor to view and remove material. Branch phone numbers are available on the Library’s website (winnipeg.ca/library) or by dialing 311.
Millennium Library:
The Millennium Library (251 Donald Street) will be offering free library materials to non-profit organizations from December 5 – 9 inclusive. Please visit the Anhang Room on the second floor of the Millennium Library from December 5 - 9, 2011, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to select books for your organization.
