About the Organization:

Good Neighbours Active Living Centre is a multi-purpose senior centre in the River East area. We provide programs and services that enhance the independence, dignity and well-being of individuals aged 55 and over. With a membership of over 1000, we are a very busy, active and vibrant senior centre.

About the Position:

Good Neighbours is currently looking for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant.

This is a permanent, part-time position. Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant’s duties are to maintain general ledgers and financial statements, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, and assist with administrative tasks, such as inventory control, mail lists, and minute taking at meetings.

Terms of employment: 0.6 EFT Permanent

Qualifications:

Qualifications include a diploma from a recognized community college or business school, current experience in bookkeeping, experience working in Simply Accounting, Microsoft Word and Excel, and exemplary communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
