This document presents a “how to” approach to evaluating place-based initiatives. It discusses ten questions that an evaluation of place-based initiatives needs to address, although they could also be useful to inform the evaluation of programs and projects that are not necessarily place- based. The questions are of a reflective rather than a prescriptive nature. They are intended to inform evaluation planning for complex multi-site place-based initiatives.
