Career Trek is looking for a dynamic and committed individual who is passionate about children's educational programming and career development. Career Trek is a not-for-profit organization that helps children to discover the importance of post-secondary education by providing hands-on career oriented programming at post-secondary institutions across Manitoba.
 
This afterschool program is a pilot project run out of the Seven Oaks School Division that runs for 12 weeks between January and April, 2013. 60 children from the SOSD will attend programming at the University Manitoba, The University of Winnipeg, and Red River College. Students will be separated into two groups of 30 with each group attending programming one night a week.
 
Reporting to the Director of Programming, the SOSD Program Manager will assist the Director of Programming with the administration, implementation and operation of the program. This is a part-time position with an anticipated 20-hour flexible work week, ideal for university students interested in accumulating program management experience in a child-focused educational and career development setting.
