Community development consultant (Protective Services Consultant)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Day, Evening

Salary: $58,706.00 to $73,780.00 Yearly for 36.25 hours per week, As per collective agreement

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Thompson, Manitoba (1 vacancy)

Skill Requirements:

Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Some university

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable

Experience: No experience

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Government

Area of Specialization: Economic development, Regional or area development

Specific Skills: Develop policies, Plan development projects, Respond to enquiries from members of the business community concerning development opportunities, Provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals, Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articles, Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia, Provide consulting services to government and other organizations, Knowledge of federal and provincial regulations/policies, Knowledge of community and industry partners

Additional Skills: Perform administrative tasks, Use computer applications

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Fast-paced environment

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation, Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly, Willing to travel overnight

Work Location Information: Rural community, Remote location
