The Lac La Ronge Indian Band-Health Services Department is now inviting applications for 1 (one) Community Development Worker to assist the Holistic Program in the community of Grandmother's Bay. This position requires living a healthy lifestyle and being familiar with Woodland Cree culture.  

Duties:
- Be a liaison between community members and front line workers;
- Identify community member's strengths and skills to teach culturally relevant materials to other community members; 
- Willingness to train as a first responder;
- Organize a Youth Council to determine needs of youth in the community;
- Assist with annual community culture gatherings to promote traditional values and promote community development;
- Host regular community meetings and conduct home visits;
- Organize and participate in community development projects that enhance the capacity of the community to support families and neighbours.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 10;
- Enjoys working with youth and Elders;
- Must live in the community and have a healthy lifestyle;
- Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills;
- Ability to speak/understand Cree, and knowledge of the Cree Culture is a definite asset;
- Satisfactory Criminal, Child Abuse & Drivers Record Checks;
- Must have a valid driver's license.
