About WPRC:

The Managing Director will:

• Build relationships and actively engage multiple sectors of our community • Identify opportunities for change in accordance with WPRC’s vision and WPRC’s Framework for Action
• Manage collaboration processes with senior leaders from across our community that result in meaningful outcomes on poverty related issues
• Assist the WPRC, its committees and working groups • Provide direction, supervision and mentorship to the WPRC Project Coordinators

A demonstrated leader in the community, you are a self-directed, highly motivated individual who thrives in a complex and changing environment. You also have:

• A post-secondary degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline (or a suitable combination of education and experience)
• Experience in relevant senior management roles with demonstrated knowledge in strategic and operational planning, board and staff development and financial management
• Strong leadership and change management skills combined with an ability to find creative solutions within a collaborative setting
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and develop strong, successful working relationships with stakeholders from multiple sectors
• Significant understanding of Winnipeg as a community, particularly its social and economic needs
