About NECRC:

NECRC promotes the social, economic and cultural renewal of the North End of Winnipeg. The BCMP is an NECRC employment program carried out in partnership with Manitoba Housing. The BCMP Employment Liaison will provide human resource coordination, recruiting, hiring, supervision and supports to maintenance and renovation staff on select Manitoba Housing projects in Winnipeg.

Responsibilities:

• Recruiting, hiring and training of on-site BCMP/NECRC staff
• Provide workplace resource supports to employees with partners
• Liaison activities with site supervisors and partners to support employee training 
• Oversee administrative supports to employees and NECRC management
• Plan, develop and monitor site safety training programming with partners
• Liaise with Manitoba Housing site personnel to insure all environmental and workplace health and safety concerns are addressed in a pro-active manner
• Act as NECRC’s first point of contact in the event of a workplace injury
• Develop/maintain positive relationships with staff, community, partners/funders

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in human resources, training or adult education;  construction site  and safety training experience desirable
• Experience and/or commitment to dealing with a traditionally barriered community
• University/College training with 3-5 years program experience OR equivalent training and experience
