Job Description:  In a high productivity and fast paced environment, Community Futures Visions North, under the direction of the General Manager, the Community Economic Development Officer will act as lead on various community economic development projects.  The projects will involve facilitating seminars and offering advisory services to participants and other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications Required:  Ability to work in an organized and independent manner as a team member; ability to collect and compile statistics and prepare report; good public relation and public speaking skills; computer literacy; experience in management of human and financial resources; ability to meet deadlines, familiarity with the socio-economic conditions of the Visions North region and must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Ideal Candidate:  Would be a permanent resident of the region, be a graduate of a recognized institution or have equivalent hands-on experience and a strong personal commitment to the north.

Start Date:  To be negotiated- term position

Salary Range:  Commensurate with training and experience
