The Trico Charitable Foundation is a private foundation based in Calgary, AB focused on developing a national movement for social entrepreneurship. The Foundation currently supports initiatives in

the area of social entrepreneurship including: Enterprising Non-profits Alberta (enp-ab), the Social Enterprize, the Social Enterprise World Forum and Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF).  In partnership with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC), we are helping to support the emergence of the Enterprising Non-Profits (enp) Canada network.

We are currently recruiting for a: Project Coordinator. This is a part-time, temporary position (possibility to become permanent)

Position Overview

The enp-Canada Project Coordinator organizes the project and reporting activities in support of the enpCanada project with HRSDC. This is a unique opportunity to work in a national pilot program to advance social enterprise across Canada.  S/he monitors project progress and provides updates to leadership on project status. This individual will be required to develop comprehensive plans for the project including implementation, maintenance and sustainability. This position reports to the Director, Strategic Investments & Operations.

Job Duties

  • Gathers information from enp-Canada project participants (affiliates, contractors, staff members).
  • Compiles information for the development of schedules and timelines.
  • Ensures project is following timelines and milestones set out in enp-Canada contract agreement.
  • Coordinates with senior members of team for key deliverables.
  • Organizes routine communications with project participants.
  • Creates and maintains files.
  • Assists senior team members in creation of reports.
  • Maintains appropriate professional designations and up-to-date knowledge of current information technology techniques and tools.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Experienced working in a project management capacity.
  • Comfortable organizing diverse activities and constituents.
  • Strong understanding of government reporting.
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Self starter and team player
  • Post-secondary degree or above;
  • Passion for organization and detail;
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills;
  • Passion and/or experience in social enterprise;
  • Comfort with working in a small, agile, entrepreneurial office;
  • Passion for participating in and advancing social entrepreneurship.
