Economic development in New Brunswick is changing and Enterprise Greater Moncton (EGM) is changing too. In light of the exciting changes in the economic development landscape, Enterprise Greater Moncton is evolving to better meet the needs of the tri-communities it serves. The recent announcement of the creation of the Economic Leadership Council under the chairpersonship of Robert Irving as well as fundamental changes to the way economic development is done and funded creates an unprecedented opportunity for EGM.
Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will work collaboratively with funding stakeholders from the tri-communities and the business community to execute approved strategies and economic development priorities. The CEO will be responsible for fulfilling the directional priorities through program development/delivery, staff leadership/management, networking and collaborating with economic development stakeholders, the business community, relevant industry sectors, government and industry relationship management, etc.
The successful candidate will have extensive senior-level experience and proven excellence in leading people and organizations; possess broadly recognized skills as a collaborative communicator among diverse stakeholder groups; oral and written proficiency in both official languages; proven track record for innovation, team building, business development, strategic planning, project development, organizational financial management and funding acquisition; a university degree, (Masters level an asset); experience or combination of proven expertise/formal training in economic development will be considered an advantage, but not essential. Self-motivated and proactive, the candidate will be acknowledged for his/her strategic thinking, results orientation and ethical business practice.
