DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Town of Gander, a thriving community within central Newfoundland, invites applications for the anticipated position of Director of Economic Development.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director is responsible for encouraging an economic environment that is conducive to attracting and retaining industries through the provision of planning and development services, and prospecting and retention programs, as well as coordinating commercial land sale activities in the town. The position also oversees programs and directives of Council for social and community issues such as physician recruitment and retention, affordable housing and the volunteer sector.
