Responsibilities:
The Financial Literacy Facilitator is responsible for the on-going development and facilitation of the Money Management Program, including the integration of the StartSmart program.
Through Money Management workshops the facilitator will provide financial literacy education to individuals living on low incomes. Through StartSmart workshops and one-on-one case management, the facilitator will provide the supports needed for low-income parents to increase their financial literacy and open Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs) for their children.

- Program development and promotion
- Program administration
- Facilitation of workshops
- Evaluation and reporting
- Departmental & community involvement
- One-on-one case management
Key Objectives:
- Prepare and deliver Money Management workshops
- Deliver StartSmart workshops on an as needed basis and support participants to open an RESP
- Promote community awareness of the importance of Financial Literacy and the importance of saving for children’s Post Secondary Education
