Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre (RIWC) is a charitable organization with a mandate to serve South Asian and Chinese speaking immigrant women and their families by providing culturally appropriate and linguistically specific settlement support and counselling services with the use of community determined strategies, developed and delivered by immigrant women.
As part of a youth employment initiative to provide employment opportunities for youth, RIWC has an Administrative/HR Coordinator position available. Interested applicants must be under the age of 29; unemployed; not in school full-time; a resident of Ontario.

Reports to the Executive Director.
Job responsibilities will include:
IT
- Maintain & oversee building’s IT infrastructure, including computer hardware and software
- Design and maintain websites
- Troubleshoot IT problems and provide solutions
Marketing & Communications
- Oversee the design, development and maintenance of communications materials including website and social media, databases, e-blasts, mailings, brochures, posters and other promotional materials
- Improve upon & execute RIWC’s communications strategy by using marketing opportunities and
- existing lists
- Build & maintain relationships and contacts with relevant communities by participating in events and meetings
General
- Recruit, train and/or manage volunteers where appropriate to assist in carrying out the above
- responsibilities
- All other duties & tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with a degree in IT and/or business administration.
- Knowledge of computer hardware & ability to function with multiple operating systems (MacOS,
- Windows & Linux)
- Skilled with computer networks, network administration & network installation
- Skilled with computer & peripherals troubleshooting, viruses & security
- Knowledge of WordPress Web CMS, associated auxiliary web design
- Knowledge of languages (CSS, HTML, Dreamweaver, etc.), and skill with web analytics (Google, etc.)
- Skilled with MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite & analogous programs
- Skilled with Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) & E-Blast/Communications tools as well as management systems (MailChimp, HootSuite, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Analytical, problem solving & decision-making skills
- Experience working with diverse communities
