Initiatives for Just Communities is looking for an outgoing and energetic person this summer to coordinate an art show for the fall. The artists are currently and/or formerly incarcerated people involved in their Open Circle and Circles of Support & Accountability programs. Some data entry will also be required. Attention to detail, a willingness to work with the program participants and volunteers with openness and caring, and a knowledge of Aboriginal art and culture would be very helpful.
If you are a post-secondary student returning to school in the fall, and are able to start as soon as possible Initiatives for Just Communities would like to hear from you. Hourly rate is $10.45, and while there are no other benefits, you will have the opportunity to work in a great working environment and with excellent colleagues. Hours will be very flexible. People of indigenous heritage will be given preference.
Please contact Gaelene Askeland, Executive Director at gaskeland@initiativesjc.org to apply or request further information.
