We are currently seeking Sponsored Executives (SEs) to join our team. SEs provide direction, strategic advice and support to a portfolio of companies and organizations participating in United Way workplace campaigns. If all requirements are met, SEs will receive the United Way Leadership Development Program Certificate through a partnership with the University of Manitoba.
Assigned a Division-specific portfolio of workplace accounts and reporting to and working with a United Way Campaign Manager, you will collaborate as an integral member of the Campaign team to:
- Create strategies and plans to maximize workplace campaign participation and giving
- Identify opportunities to implement new and improved workplace campaign project plans
- Lead in addressing employee groups through the creation and delivery of effective, compelling messages to support the Campaign
- Coach and mentor volunteer campaign committees and canvassers
- Communicate, motivate and build teams to establish and maintain relationships with workplace volunteers
- Analyze data and create regular financial projections in collaboration with the team
- Manage projects by monitoring, evaluating, and reporting campaign progress in your assigned portfolio of accounts
- Manage time independently to achieve results
- Provide excellent customer service to volunteers, staff and team members
- Promote and coordinate agency speakers and tours as part of the workplace campaign
- Support United Way’s Campaign Kickoff, Report Sessions, and other campaign related events
- Attend all appropriate Campaign and staff events and meetings
You’re an innovative, goal-oriented team player who is outgoing and thrives on building relationships. You are prepared to make a full time commitment (at least 37.5 hours/week) for the entire 14 week term and you have the following:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for the duration of the assignment
- Strong communication skills
- Professional approach, confidence, and the ability to think on your feet
- A cell phone and laptop would be considered assets
