This exciting position is located in Lac La Biche, Alberta and serves several surrounding municipalities.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skill sets:
- Strong business planning and budgeting experience
- Sound knowledge of business development and financing to small and medium sized businesses
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong general management skills
- Solid understanding of Community Economic Development
- Community oriented
- Be a results driven self starter
Responsibilities:
- Plan Board and Committee meetings
- Act as a liaison with community stakeholders and funding agencies
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to foster business development in the region
- Plan, develop and monitor budgets and performance targets
- Develop and maintain human resources policies including the recruitment, training, and mentorship of staff
- Promote growth of loan portfolio within established policy and guidelines
Applicants should have strong management experience, a track record of success and completion of post-secondary education in business and/or community economic development (equivalencies will be considered). This position requires periodic travel within the region to outlying communities. Successful applicants must reside in the service area.
