The Friends of Sherbrook Pool was established in 1992 to create accessible programming and use of Sherbrook Pool and ensure the viability of the pool as a recreation facility and Winnipeg landmark. FOSP requires a new part time coordinator to carry out these duties in cooperation with the community board.
Duties
- Coordinate KidSwim and TeenSwim programs, as well as summer camp.
- Develop new partnerships for pool programming and plan programs and implement the action plan for the program committee and collaborative recreation program model.
- Support the implementation of the action plan for the FOSP building committee for capital improvement to the pool, and ensure financial management and reporting for FOSP.
- Maintain the presence of FOSP on the web, Facebook and other social media, community media, and maintain regular outreach to partners.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating swimming and other children and youth swimming/recreation programs.
- Experience working with diverse groups to promote community assets and initiatives.
- Experience with managing social media, web site, and communications.
- Experience working with volunteers and a board of directors in advocacy and not for profit setting requiring fundraising, fund reporting and regular board meetings.
- Life Saving Certificate, child abuse registry check, and first aid an asset.

Hours and Pay
25 hours per week, schedule is flexible, must be available one night per week during the school year.
