NECRC is a local not-for-profit organization committed to the social, economic and cultural renewal of the North End of Winnipeg.

The position of Energy Efficiency Upgrade Marketer will be a full-time position to coordinate the delivery of a pilot project to realize the targeted delivery of energy efficiency renovations throughout the community of William Whyte.  

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and carry out outreach by canvassing door to door to homeowners, landlords and tenants within William Whyte;
• Promote the savings and benefits of Manitoba Hydro’s Affordable Energy Program;
• Assist customers in filling out forms and applications ;
• Correspond with stakeholders and provide daily/weekly written and verbal reports on outcomes;
• Connect customers to relevant resources to increase successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Relevant promotional/sales experience;
• Related post-secondary education or equivalent Community Development experience;
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail;
• Familiarity with North End communities, with experience in communicating with marginalized residents an asset.
• Familiarity with housing resources and Manitoba Hydro’s Affordable Energy Program an asset.
• Understanding of home energy efficiency and repair issues an asset.

Terms of Reference:

• Term position (renewable dependent on funding and performance);
• Full time (37.5 hours per week, evenings and weekends as required);
• Salary $35,000/yr;
• Performance based incentive bonus of up to $3,500
• Mileage and benefits package (health and RRSP);
• Must have access to own transportation;
• The Energy Efficiency Upgrade Marketer will operate out of NECRC’s main office at 509 Selkirk.
