We are currently seeking a GenNext Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Donor Relations and Resource Development, the GenNext Manager will have two primary focuses:
1. GenNext Program – Work with United Way’s GenNext Council and lead this program which enables United Way to engage young business and community leaders in the 25-40 age demographic to get involved in United Way’s work in our community. This will involve:
- Proactively engaging in networking opportunities to continually build knowledge and interest in GenNext and to create community partnerships
- Supporting the work of the GenNext Council and its committees and working groups to develop and manage the GenNext program
- Managing GenNext program development, implementation and evaluation, including activities and events that raise awareness, inspire involvement and motivate this age group to give their time, money, skills and energy to fulfilling United Way’s mission
2. Special Initiatives – As part of the special initiatives team, work with potential new partners within the Winnipeg business community in order to support their employee engagement and their corporate social responsibility/citizenship goals. This will involve:
- Proactively researching Winnipeg-based new and emerging businesses (small, medium and large) which do not currently operate workplace campaigns
- Consulting with business owners/leaders and working collaboratively with them to design employee engagement opportunities in support of people and communities in Winnipeg
You are an independently driven, consultative, detail-orientated team player who possesses the following attributes:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma and at least 2 years of program management experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) preferably in a non-profit environment
- Experience working with volunteers
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to successfully deliver to deadline
- Fundraising experience is an asset
