Reporting to the President & CEO and leading the Finance and Internal Services department, the Vice President ensures we have the internal capacity to support the execution of strategies to create lasting change in our community.
In partnership with senior volunteers including United Way’s Board of Trustees and the Finance and Administration Committee, the VP, Finance & Internal Services leads all internal support services including governance processes, privacy, financial and risk management, human resources, labour relations, information technology systems, and facilities. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the VP, Finance & Internal Services actively contributes to overall organizational effectiveness, ensuring United Way remains a trusted, relevant and valued contributor to the community.
As the ideal candidate, you possess the following qualifications:
- Post graduate degree in business or related field; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
- Five-ten years’ experience in a senior leadership position with a demonstrated ability to inspire, work strategically and continuously learn
- Demonstrated capacity to look ahead at organizational needs while delivering high quality service to internal customers today
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships and teams
- The desire to be part of a volunteer and staff team committed to making a positive difference in our city
