Mediation Services requires an Executive Director to provide leadership and support to the organization in a cultural of cooperation and consensus decision-making. The candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors and the Program Coordinators, operating within the values of Mediation Services.
The position includes the following responsibilities:
- leadership and planning
- human resources
- board liaison
- finance and administration(budget development & fundraising)
- funder relations and community/public relations
QUALIFICATIONS
Related experience in the above areas with emphasis on the following:
- Demonstrated leadership experience including prior coaching and mentorship
- Experience working as a liaison between an organization and board of directors (i.e. in an Executive Director capacity) would be a definite asset
- Demonstrated commitment to restorative justice
- Knowledge and understanding of conflict resolution and mediation
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and planning skills
- Proficiency working in an office environment including strong computer skills and ability to use technology to enhance performance
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- A degree and/or experience in social services or related field
This is a full time position, with office hours generally Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm; however some evening and weekend time is required. The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours. A Criminal Record check and Child Abuse Registry check is a required condition of employment. The position is supported with a full benefits package and retirement savings plan. There is a six month probationary period.
