Supporting Employment and Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. (SEED) is a Community Economic Development organization with a focus on marginalized clients and the inner city of Winnipeg. We are seeking a full-time individual (40 hours per week) to facilitate training and provide business consulting for participants in its business programs. SEED operates programs that assist low-income individuals, other not for profit organizations, and community groups to start or expand existing businesses through our BEST Program (Business & Enterprise Training & Support).
SEED is seeking a Business Consultant to deliver group and individual business training and consulting to assist clients start or expand various types of businesses including cooperatives and social enterprises.
The successful candidate will be community minded, have strong business acumen, including knowledge of cooperatives and social enterprises, demonstrated group facilitation and mentorship skills, and experience working with diverse, low-income client groups. Small business experience, strong project management skills, excellent communication and analytical skills, a proven team player with the ability to work in a non-profit environment are preferred. Proficiency with Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 is essential. Evening and weekend work is required.
