Position:    Accounting Clerk / Office
Coordinator Terms:     Six months contract — possibility of renewal
Start: As soon as possible Location: Masset, BC

Haida Gwaii Community Futures is looking for a highly motivated person to fill the roles of Accounting Clerk and Office Coordinator.

Working with and reporting to the General Manager the position will be responsible for:

  • All accounting including bookkeeping, banking, financial reporting
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable
  • Payroll
  • General office administration and staff support.

The applicant will have demonstrated:

  • Fully experienced with Simply Accounting Business Financial System (SAGE)
  • Significant working experience in accounting, bookkeeping and financial reporting
  • Experienced with Microsoft office applications (Mac and PC) and comfortable learning new applications
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, capable of working with a number of demands, and possess a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.

Post secondary education certificate or diploma in accounting is desirable.
This position is for 4-5 days per week.
Location is Masset. Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
