Term Position: June 13, 2016 to March 17, 2017 (with possibility of renewal/extension) 15 hours per week @ $20,00 per hour
The WRENCH is seeking a Financial Resources Coordinator to develop its resources for existing and proposed programming.
Job Description
- Research funding sources for programming and for organizational management.
- Develop fund raising plans and participate in fund raising activities as appropriate.
- Write funding proposals to all appropriate sources of grants and other funding.
- Complete all necessary reporting to those providing grants and other funding.
- Report to the Board on grants and fund-raising.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with finding funding sources and accessing same.
- Experience with grant-writing and reporting.
- Experience with developing fund raising programs.
- Familiarity with community bike shops.
- The ability to self-direct, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict management skills.
- Experience working in a team setting.
- Experience working with non-profit/community organizations and Boards.
- Awareness and sensitivity to issues of marginalization (sexism, racism, classism) and cultural diversity.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and newcomer communities.
- Experience working with youth and knowledge of community-based, youth-serving organizations.
- Experience building consensus within and between organizations.
The successful candidates will be required to complete child abuse registry checks, and criminal record checks.
