KLINK Coffee is a social enterprise of the John Howard Society of Toronto and actual employment would be with the Society. KLINK Coffee wholesales a line of premium coffees in order to support persons returning home from prison through employment opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS

Strong sales experience, particularly in B2B sales, is required. Sales management experience is an asset. Community college diploma or university degree, plus a minimum of 2 years related employment experience. Demonstrated equivalency of experience and training will be considered. Intermediate-Advanced word processing skills, elementary spreadsheet and elementary data base skills are required.

PERSONAL QUALITIES AND JOB DUTIES

The primary purpose of this position is to generate new sales and maintain existing customer relationships at KLINK Coffee. We seek an experienced sales person, particularly an individual who has demonstrated past success at new account and new business development in a B2B environment. Experience in the coffee industry is an asset, as is an understanding of the social enterprise business model.

The employee will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated past success at generating new sales leads, developing new customer relationships, and maintaining a customer base.
  • Ability to develop new business accounts in a B2B environment.
  • Ability to network and represent the KLINK brand at industry events.
  • Ability to supervise sales representatives.
  • Ability to use and manage a CRM database.
  • Experience dealing with media inquiries.
  • Ability to function effectively as both a leader and a member of a team.
  • Ability to act independently, as circumstances warrant.
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures and act within their intent.
  • Ability to work with consultants and funders to develop sales plans and strategies.
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Openness and ability to establish rapport - Good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Moral integrity and honesty.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the demands of working in a small business setting.

This is a full time position with salary (commensurate with experience) and benefits, plus the possibility of a production bonus if sales targets are exceeded. You will work out of our office on the Danforth, but will need to travel throughout the city as required for sales and customer meetings. (A Metropass rebate is available for work-related travel.) Hours will primarily be Monday to Friday, 9-5, however, some evenings and weekends may be required.   

LINE OF AUTHORITY

The employee shall be under the immediate supervision of the Social Enterprise Program Manager or designate.  The employee will, as required, provide leadership to other employees, volunteers and students.
