Chief Executive Officer

You are here

Immigrant Access Fund Canada (IAF) is a community organization dedicated to ensuring that Canada’s immigrants are equitably integrated into the workforce so they may contribute their expertise to Canada’s economic and social success. The IAF achieves that by assisting immigrants to fund their licensing/training requirements to work in their field in Canada.

Reporting to the board of directors, the CEO is a mission-focused leader who possess the skills and passion to develop and lead the organization’s strategy for transformative growth.  This leader has the exciting opportunity to translate the vision of the board and grow the organization by creating the business plan to expand IAF’s reach and spearhead implementation across the country. The CEO is a skilled change leader able to build and foster a breadth of relationships across a multi stakeholder landscape that can include provincial and federal governments, regulatory bodies, businesses and industries, donors, and other community organizations.

Successful candidates must believe in the core values of IAF and be driven by the mission, including a passion for breaking new ground and leading social change.  They will possess a proven ability to grow and scale an organization, lead strategic planning, relationship & change management, coupled with strength in fiscal responsibility.  A sense of community and a desire to make a difference should be an inherent personal characteristic.  Above all else, they are a visionary entrepreneur who remains undaunted in the face of challenges.

A minimum of 10 years of senior management experience encompassing finance, information technology, human resources, and marketing, in the public or private sector is required, and a Master’s degree or a professional accounting designation would be considered an asset.
