Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Development Coordinator attracts, coaches, manages and guides loan and business development clients to success. Through those functions, the Business Development Coordinator will contribute to our mission of growing our communities one idea at a time by being responsible for all aspects of commercial lending, growth of the loan portfolio, collections, business counselling, and assessing feasibility of client business ideas/proposals/plans.
The Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Advising clients, providing guidance and information on the development of business plans and related documents.
- Attracting businesses and clients to achieve loan growth objectives.
- Reviewing and analyzing loan applications for viability.
- Coaching clients, providing aftercare and growth support.
- Performing due diligence checks.
- Delivering group training sessions on business topics.
- Developing and maintain a network of referral sources.
Our successful candidate will be an effective communicator; collaborative; analytical; and organized; and possess strong coaching, lending and banking skills, and strong interpersonal and marketing skills. Our Business Development Coordinator will also have:
- A strong history of customer service, business coaching, sales/marketing and project leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license
- Access to a vehicle while at work
Previous experience owning a business is considered an asset to this position as well.
