This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) term position, with an immediate start date and an end date of November 9, 2018.

A key contributor to major Community Impact projects as well as other initiatives, the Research & Evaluation Manager will champion the innovative use of evaluation and research to guide our multifaceted strategies and ultimately assist United Way to meet and exceed objectives. Specifically, this role will provide expertise in outcome evaluation and research with a primary focus on:

  • conducting and supporting outcome evaluation of UWW initiatives supporting the Community Investment Managers in building capacity for sustained outcomes evaluation for UW agency partners
  • conducting research and writing research documents ranging from briefing notes to reports
  • supporting Peg, focusing on communications efforts and assisting with project management

You’re a high energy person who takes initiative and demonstrates imagination and resourcefulness. An organized project manager, who actively collaborates with staff and volunteers, you also are passionate about making Winnipeg a better place to live. You possess the following:

  • Relevant post-secondary degree and/or two to four years related experience
  • Graduate degree would be an asset
  • Demonstrated skills in evaluation and research, outcome measurement, analyzing data, report writing, consensus building, and group facilitation
  • Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to organize and implement plans and manage multiple projects simultaneous
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including strong report writing, ability to facilitate discussions, and experience presenting to small and large groups
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to strategically ‘connect the dots’, including problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Initiative, intellectual curiosity and a passionate interest in making Winnipeg a better place Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research. Experience with Andar and SPSS an asset.
