People First of Canada (PFC) is the national organization representing people with intellectual disabilities.

The Position
We are seeking a part-time Activity Coordinator and Grant Writer (18.5 hours per week). Working directly under the Executive Director, duties will include national activity coordination with monitoring of provincial and territorial chapters.
It will also include researching and completing applications for funding (typically applications to foundations, governments, and trusts).
The Location
The applicant must be based out of Manitoba and will be expected to telecommute (work from home) for the majority of the position.
A laptop will be provided. The position may require some travel.
The successful candidate will be a person who:
- believes in human rights and inclusion of people with disabilities
- wants to work in the area of education and advocacy
- is highly organized
- has successful experience with grant and proposal writing
- works independently and well under pressure

Wage: $25 - $28/hour
Hours: 18.5/week (flexible schedule)
Duration: April 1 – September 30, 2018 with potential for a renewed 3 year contract.
