As our Agency Manager, your energy and drive to cultivate and progress relationships with our partnered food distribution agencies is essential to ensuring the community’s needs are met. As a skilled relationship builder and people-leader, you and your team will reach out to build partnerships with new agencies and create positive change in your community related to food security.
Your Responsibilities:
- Build and mature the relationships with our partner agencies and lead our mission to share food with hungry families in Winnipeg and across Manitoba
- Support the efforts of our associated Food Distribution Agencies (such as food banks, soup kitchens and meal programs), and develop strong relationships with new partner agencies.
- Lead the Agencies Team (2 employees) and our volunteers and support them in effectively distributing food
- Manage all administrative and operational functions related to scheduling, planning, performance reviews, record keeping, reporting, programs, etc.
- Process all Food Distribution Agency applications, including special requests
- Strengthen existing and develop new processes and procedures for distribution of food and non-food product
- Coach team members on best practices for managing volunteer recruitment, training, and retention
- Provide guidance and assist toward the resolution of issues or complaints
- Willingly lends a hand wherever it’s needed for your team!
Your Qualifications:
- You believe in the dignity of all humans and have a caring, positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to take charge and develop effective solutions under pressure
- Manages the professional development of their team, and supports their day-to-day and long-term strategic objectives
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
- Strong organizational and administrative attributes
- Familiarity with hunger and poverty issues, and the resources available
- Knowledge of computer systems, complex databases and reporting
- Post-secondary education and additional language(s) are assets
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
- Commitment to the organization’s vision of accessible, healthy and sustainable food for all
