Client Engagement Worker
Supports for Internationally Training Individuals (SITI) Project
The Learning Enrichment Foundation provides a multidisciplinary and holistic set of supports to members of our community including those who are: in transition, new to Canada, out of the workforce, and a host of other individual circumstances, including learning, physical and/or psychological disabilities.
We are looking for a client-oriented individual with solid knowledge of accreditation processes and career counseling, motivational, communication and teamwork skills to join our Client Engagement team. You will be responsible for providing one-on-one supports for internationally trained individuals (ITIs) seeking to have their credentials recognized in Canada. You will support ITIs to navigate credential recognition processes including identifying training opportunities, developing actions plans, and exploring job and career options. You will also assist them in achieving their employment and settlement goals by providing intensive job search supports and continuously following up with them to ensure a seamless transition to the labour force. You will also work closely with the Financial Coach to support ITIs develop financial plans for their FCR activity including accessing loans, and financial guidance and education.
As a key member, you will be working with a dedicated team of professionals, who are highly committed to our community and who support employment and settlement needs, develop employer and community partnerships, and are all strong leaders in their fields of expertise.
Your Expertise:
- Personal and professional commitment to a community and client responsive approach
- Proven knowledge of the accreditation processes for ITIs including bridging, training and recertification opportunities
- Experience supporting ITIs to successfully overcome employment and settlement related issues
- Understanding of labour market challenges and barriers related to ITIs and solid job search strategies and techniques for a variety of occupations
- Solid networking, outreach and marketing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Organizational skills relating to planning, record-keeping
- Flexible, adaptive and positive in a constantly changing environment
- Creative, practical and strategic problem solving skills
- A university degree
