The Spark Service of the Canadian CED Network is seeking a part-time term Communications and Recruitment Coordinator for our Winnipeg office.

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

The successful candidate will be responsible for communications and promotion of the Spark program. You will work to build and maintain our online presence, connecting with our national communications team and other program staff to support Spark’s communications. You are a strong communicator that can contribute to good relationships and the provision of clear and accessible information about our activities.

In addition, you will help the Spark team to build the capacity and impact of community development initiatives, by recruiting a broad base of volunteers with specialized skills such as facilitators, business planners, consultants, lawyers, architects, and designers to volunteer with local community organizations on specific short-term projects.

WHO WE ARE:

Spark is the Canadian CED Network’s capacity building service for community organizations engaged in community renewal, poverty alleviation and social change in Winnipeg, using a community development or CED approach. Spark staff work with organizations to define their skill and capacity gaps, and then connect them to relevant resources. The centrepiece of the service is arranging matches between organizations and volunteers with specialized skills (from a wide variety of professions) to provide time-limited but crucial technical assistance. www.sparkwpg.ca
