The Canadian Coalition for Green Healthcare, a national not for profit group of hospitals and other health care organizations is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to work as part of our on-line social enterprise. Working with our Executive Director and Manager of Digital Marketing and On-line Programs, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will to expand the Coalition’s on-line Marketplace to smaller communities in Nova Scotia, then across Canada.
Job Description:
The person will work with hospital and community services coordinators and service providers to bring them together, using the Coalition’s on-line sharing marketplace. The on-line marketplace will be used by local service providers of transportation, homemaking, food services and caregiver support services to advertise their services and to connect them with local health care providers and the communities they serve. As well, the person will work with hospital-based social enterprises and volunteer organizations such as gift shops, food and retail operations to use the platform to expand services to the community and to engage local artisans, makers and artists in a broader market.
This work experience placement is part of the CreateAction Inclusive Social Innovation program. The person will be part of a network of 25 CreateAction participants and will join in regular peer learning and training sessions throughout the 6 month work experience, delivered by the program partners: the Canadian CED Network and the National Association of Friendship Centres.
Qualifications:
- High School graduation, some post-secondary school training/education, interest in marketing and sales
- Experience with Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint) & Google Suite
- Knowledge of on-line marketing programs social media campaigns and in-line research
- Strong personal initiative, time management skills and interest in community development
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a team-based virtual environment and knowledge of Nova Scotia
Candidates must be:
- between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at start of placement
- a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- legally entitled to work in Canada
- legally entitled to work according to Nova Scotia legislation and regulations
- experiencing one or more barriers to employment and/or is
- not in education, employment or training (NEET)
Preference will be given to candidates from diverse backgrounds (ie. BIPOC, LGBTQ2+ or living with a disability)
Term of Position: Jan. 11, 2021 – July 9, 2021,
Salary: $19/hr. for a 37.5 hour work week for a period of 26 weeks
