CCEDNet is a member-driven organization that increases the scale and effectiveness of community economic development (CED). Community Economic Development (CED) builds people-centred, sustainable economies. CED is a field of expertise that holds the tools and know-how to create-in an inclusive and participatory way-locally-led action for the betterment of a community. CED is also a movement of people and organizations who are creating solutions to everyday problems like climate change, poverty, homelessness and isolation. Solutions range from community gardens, farmers markets, community loan funds, land trusts, mentorship opportunities, social enterprises, co-operatives, affordable housing, neighbourhood renewal corporations, and much more. CCEDNet's members do all of this from every region of the country.
