Central Neighbourhood House (CNH), located in east downtown Toronto, is a not for profit community based multi-service agency addressing social, political, and cultural barriers by working in partnership with individuals, families and groups, respecting diversity and enabling participation and opportunities in society. This is done by developing and providing services and programs which are integrated with support, research and advocacy.
We are currently seeking an Executive Director to work with us to provide leadership and support for this ongoing work. This individual will also work with all stakeholders to further develop, establish and implement programs, policies, strategic direction and organizational goals that address the issues of our community.
The Executive Director will need to have strong leadership skills, a commitment to equity, social change and an understanding of issues of poverty as it impacts on the individual and diverse communities. In addition, the successful candidate should have sound understanding and skill in financial operations, ability to work closely with funders, senior management experience in the not for profit sector, particularly community-based organizations, and be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and provide direction during a period of renewal and transition.
