CAFÉ STYLE DIALOGUE RELATED TO THE FUTURE OF GIVING - RESOURCES, IDEAS, AND ENERGIES TO BUILD A STRONG AND RESILIENT COMMUNITY

This is the second year of the Paths to Public Leadership series. The first year was a developmental process to assess whether there would be interest or appetite in the general public to participate in a series of dialogue sessions to reflect on community leadership themes.

We are very excited about this opportunity to build on these ideas of giving and have Winnipeggers, from all walks of life, give voice to their ideas about how we as a community and individuals think about contributing to our community.

The approach is to apply dialogue and conversation techniques to each of the sessions. This year we have collaborated with The Winnipeg Foundation and Delta Winnipeg to pursue dialogue on the following vision:

WINNIPEGGERS CONTINUE TO BUILD AND STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY BY CONTRIBUTING IN MANY WAYS AND PROVIDING NEW FORMS OF "GIVING" BEYOND TRADITIONAL PHILANTHROPIC LEADERSHIP

OUR SERIE'S GOAL

To identify the important ideas related to "Giving" including: resources, skills, ideas and energy, time, and the link from local to global community building.

Our Objectives:

Demonstrate the power of dialogue and conversation (sharing circle, then small cafes and reflection on learnings and personal contributions)
Engage Winnipeggers on the ideas and concepts reflected in the PPL themes
Harvest critical ideas and concepts to disseminate to the broader community
