Marlene Street is a public housing complex in St Vital that requires a summer full time/during the school year part time Kids Program Coordinator.

The right candidate will have the following skills:

• The ability to be responsible for the development and delivery of programs and services for children & youth
• Identify needs, barriers and opportunities to promote and strengthen children & youth in the community Front line leadership and mentorship with children & youth
• Work within a flexible work week (evenings and weekends)
• Connect and cultivate effective relationships with schools and other service providers in the community
• Research innovative programs and develop community strategies to combat drug/gang activity in the community Promote positive healthy and active lifestyles
• Work collaboratively within a broad framework of a team Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate volunteers for children & youth programs
• Monitor budget and maintain control of expenses to arrive at pre-determined budget goals
• Evaluate the effectiveness of programs Proposal writing would be an asset

This position will be full time (37.5 hours per week) during July and August and part time (20-25 hours per week) throughout the school year (October-June).

The wages for this position are $11 - 13 per hour depending upon experience & qualifications.
