The conference will be a chance to showcase existing food security projects and develop new skills as participants work towards greater food security in Manitoba. Over two days, hands-on workshops, discussions and displays will cover such topics as do-it-yourself food skills workshops, indigenous food culture, knowledge & skills, rural/urban connections, and climate change & the food and fuel crisis.

The Conference is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Province of Manitoba's Health and Healthy Living, with sponsorship by the University of Winnipeg.
