Opportunities For Employment is a private, faith-based, non-profit organization. Our mission is to assist adults to achieve self-sufficiency through full-time, long-term employment. We are currently looking for a full-time Counsellor/Facilitator for an eleven-month term position (with the possibility of extension) under the OFE Stages of Change (SOC) Research project. The incumbent will establish and maintain positive working relationships with the program participants as well as with partners involved in the delivery of the SOC project. This position includes the responsibilities of intake assessment, stages of change assessment and the development and delivery of stages of change interventions including workshops and one-to-one motivational interviewing that engage, encourage and motivate the participant in the process of finding and securing employment.

Qualifications: Successful applicants will have superior facilitating and motivational interviewing skills. Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills, and will be an effective team member. Post-secondary education in a related field with a certificate in Applied Counseling is essential. Two years minimum experience is required. Please state salary expectations in cover letter.
