ABOUT THE CEDTAS PROGRAM
The CEDTAS or the Community Economic Development Technical Assistance Service recently joined The Canadian CED Network and supports community organizations in their
community economic development efforts by connecting them to volunteer professionals who meet their technical assistance and expertise needs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This full time position works under the direction of CCEDNet's Prairies/Northern Territories Regional Coordinator, with input from the CEDTAS Steering committee. The Coordinator has overall responsibility for continuing this successful project and increasing the brokered technical assistance services for eligible clients. The Coordinator will supervise CEDTAS staff and ensure that the program runs effectively. The Coordinator will also monitor client and volunteer professional working relationships, conduct regular evaluations of the needs in communities and assist with the recruitment of volunteer professionals to meet these needs. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Fundraising
1.1. Research and investigate potential funding programs that fit with the CEDTAS project
1.2. Write & submit funding proposals to potential funders
1.3. Write interim & final reports or updates for funding partners
1.4. Meet with present and potential funding agencies to establish a positive and committed relationship with the CEDTAS project.

2. Financial
2.1. Management of the overall program budget
2.2. Preparation and monitoring of annual budgets
2.3. Present regular financial reports and funder communication updates to the steering committee, executive director and board of directors
2.4. Approval of all invoices, purchase orders, and any other financial transactions.

3. Program Development
3.1. Assist CEDTAS staff with regular client and provider meetings
3.2. Assist with the analysis of community groups and organizations as well as their projects and needs
3.3. Assist with client referrals and networking
3.4. Identify existing and potential partners for technical assistance service delivery and formalize relationships with them
3.5. Assess the community's technical assistance needs and ensure that CEDTAS is working effectively within its mandate to meet these needs

4. Administration and Program Coordination
4.1. Coordinate steering committee and program staff meetings
4.2. Under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator, oversee the coordination of the project
4.3. Supervision of other CEDTAS staff

5. Marketing
5.1. Assist and oversee staff in the effective promotion of CEDTAS services
5.2. Assist and oversee the ongoing development and implementation of marketing strategies for provider recruitment purposes
5.3. Assist and oversee the ongoing development and redesign of all necessary marketing and promotional materials
5.4. Assist with the ongoing evaluation of the marketing strategies effectiveness

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience managing specific programs or projects and staff
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience writing proposals, conducting evaluations and funder communication

Background, experience or training in: business, planning, community organizations or communications is desirable
Experience in Community Economic Development practice and principles
Familiarity with MS office

Remuneration: Salary $45,000-$50,000 according to the experience and qualifications of the candidate, plus statutory benefits and minimum 2 weeks vacation per annum.
Reporting: This position reports to CCEDNet's Prairies / Northern Territories Regional Coordinator.
Location: Winnipeg, MB
