The Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) is a unique, volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization founded in 1967. Its mission is to build capacity in governance and economic development through the transfer of knowledge and skills by Volunteer Advisers. CESO has the following opportunity in its National (Aboriginal) Services Department.

We require a dynamic individual to work out of our Winnipeg office to manage the delivery of the National Services Program (Aboriginal), as well as CESO activities in Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Vice President, National Services, you will be responsible for developing business and maintaining relations with sponsors, clients and Volunteer Advisers (VAs); promoting CESO's capabilities; managing assignments and revenue, funding and budgets; as well as being responsible for actively developing the roster of VAs.

There is one direct report to this position, and a travel requirement.

You will bring:

  • Aboriginal heritage strongly desired
  • In-depth knowledge of issues and government policies, regulations, and knowledge of surrounding Aboriginal organizations and communities
  • Client-centric attitude of needs for the appropriate assignment of volunteers
  • Knowledge and experience with principles of project and program management, and capacity building
  • University degree or equivalent of education and experience
  • Aptitude for client and sponsor relations; travel approximately 1/3 -1/2 of the time
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers and Aboriginal People
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
