In our search for qualified volunteers, and with the intention to reach gender specialists, graduates, human rights' advocates, scholars, teachers, parents, practitioners, researchers, administrators, civil servants-and everyone that merits international development as a central pillar in our society.
What is Uniterra?
Uniterra was jointly created by World University Service of Canada (WUSC) in Ottawa and Centre d'étude et de coopération internationale (CECI) in Montreal in 2004. The program provides opportunities for Canadian citizens and landed immigrants to volunteer abroad in their field of experience. We work with local partners in 12 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia to address poverty and strengthen existing social and economic development initiatives. We have four focus areas: Private Sector Development; Basic Education; Governance; and Health with continuous attention to equality issues between females and males.
